Return Policy

  Our return policy is simple:

1) Tubes must be returned within 30 days.  This is plenty of time for you to use the tube and decide if you like it or not.

2) TUBES RETURNED MUST LOOK AND TEST THE SAME AS THEY DID WHEN THEY LEFT . All tubes are tested before shipping.  Tubes returned shorted or weak due to misuse in defective or maladjusted equipment will not be replaced.  If the tube is sent with the writing intact on the tube, then it MUST be returned with all of the writing intact or I will not give you full credit on the tube.

3) Shipping Charges are NOT refundable.  If you are returning a tube simply because you don’t like it (it isn’t defective) and you want a replacement, you will be charged shipping on the replacement tube.

4)Tubes are tested for mutual conductance, shorts&leakage.Tubes are not guarenteed for microphonics or noise

5) Sweep tubes must be returned within 30 days for evaluation.  If I determine that the sweep tube was damaged by misuse, misapplication (using them in linear amplifiers) or other abuse THE TUBE WILL NOT BE REPLACED AND NO CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN.   I WILL NOT replace a sweep tube after 30 days under any circumstances. The tube must look and test like it did before I shipped it.

IF I DETERMINE THAT AN AMPLIFIER TUBE HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY YOUR EQUIPMENT, THE TUBE WILL NOT BE REPLACED AND NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN

MAKE SURE THAT YOU ADJUST THE NEUTRALIZATION OF ANY RF AMPLIFIER AFTER REPLACEMENT OF THE FINAL TUBES.  YOU MUST ALWAYS DO THIS REGARDLESS OF WEATHER THE TUBES WERE MATCHED OR NOT.  FAILURE TO DO SO MAY DESTROY THE TUBES.

Special Note For Audio Amplifier Tubes

Due to the limited availability of most NOS audio amplifier tubes, it is very difficult to get closely matched pairs.  New tubes draw considerably more plate current than older used tubes and therefore can easily draw too much plate current in a circuit that is not biased properly.  This is evidenced by the tube’s plate glowing red in color.  When you put your tubes in your amp, WATCH them for awhile to make sure that none of them are turning red.  If you see any evidence of this, SHUT OFF YOUR AMP IMMEDIATELY!!  Just a couple of minutes of this condition will completely destroy a tube.  To correct this condition, you must readjust the bias (make it more negative) so the tube is not drawing too much plate current.  Failure to do this will result in a destroyed tube and I will no longer replace any tubes that are destroyed in this manner. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, FIND A COMPETANT TECHNICIAN!
